Our Goalie Program
If you are a goalie parent who has played hockey for a few years now, I am sure you've realized something...the lack of goalie coaching. And sometimes while it might not be a lack of goalie coaching, there is a lack of goalie-coach connection. One thing we do so well at Hull Hockey is connecting with our athletes. So why would it be any different with our goalies? That is where Coach Mike Comes in.
Coach Mike, along with our other goalie coaches, will be on the ice with each team twice per week while also leading additional goalie-specific power skating clinics and technical development sessions. This gives our goalies consistent instruction in both team environments and dedicated sessions focused on the unique skills and movements of the position.

💥 Coach Mike McCuaig
Coach Mike was Kyle's best friend growing up. They played hockey together and were pretty much attached at the hip. Mike's house was their playground. With vaulted ceilings in the living room, they somehow convinced themselves it was the perfect place for a regulation hockey net and a full-size basketball hoop. Needless to say, the house took an absolute beating. 😂
As they got older, life took them in different directions. Mike moved first to California and later to Montana, while both pursued their own paths. Eventually, though, he made his way back to Colorado, and that reunion created an incredible opportunity. Together, they set out to redefine goalie coaching by creating a program built on authentic connections with goalies and their families while filling a void in the hockey community that desperately needed to be addressed.
